The Starfish Story (Original Story)
by: Loren EisleyOne day a man was walking along the beach when he noticeda boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, What are you doing?
The youth replied, Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.
Son, the man said, don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said I made a difference for that one.

I always loved this story as a kid. <3
Hey everyone,
If you don’t know already, I am the Body Rock Junior coordinator. To those that have seen the Body Rock Junior trailer, I have unfortunately deleted it. To those that have not seen it, DON’T WORRY. I will be posting it sometime next week.
The video was meant for staff’s eyes only.
Hope you all enjoyed it while it was still up. But that wasn’t it.

This post is about something that grinds my gears with the dance community. This post is not directed to anyone, but is more of a generalization.
One that that gets me is the attendance at shows. Just because you’re not performing, that means you’re don’t want to go? Really? Why? You’re a dancer and you know how hard we work to put together a set. Crews (and performers in general) practice for hours at a time to put on a good show, and I don’t see why anyone would not want to be entertained by something that we have such a deep passion for.
I do understand that some shows can be costly, we’re all busy people with busy lives, or not everything is within distance, but I’m directing this to the people that just don’t go to shows at all, unless they’re performing.
Like, you of all people should know the amount of effort put into practices, the struggles as a crew, the push brought by team work, THE CLIMB.
To those of you that don’t dance, but still support the dance community, I applaud you. The dance community wouldn’t be anything without support from both parties.
idk… Do you get what I’m trying to say?
Why the fuck is Canada and Mexico involved?
Not trynna bash on you, but I totally understand what you’re trying to say.
Although, yes, it does say AMERICA, but it’s not even where about they’re from, all that matters is that they bring a good show! They were all picked to bring an entertaining show! Adding international crews is GREAT! It brings the dance community together!! There’s DOPE talent ALL around the world! ABDC is an outlet to display their talents to a nation wide crowd! It’s an awesome show that puts the greatest talents together! Watch Hip Hop International Videos on YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialHHI
Please don’t hate that it’s not their country for being on the show, THEY’RE TALENTED AND ON TV FOR A REASON!!
